Be the Match Drive

This weekend our community gathered 30 of our friendliest faces and put on a Be the Match Drive in Rochester Park!

For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 25 years Be The Match ^® , operated by the National Marrow Donor Program ^®  (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. Most patients don’t have a fully matched donor in their family, and turn to Be the Match in hopes of finding a match for their survival.

This weekend WIYP registered nearly 60 people in hopes of being someone’s match and having the opportunity to save someone’s life.  It was an amazing day filled with love, hope, and beautiful souls! Haven Volunteering Night

Each year some of our members get together to volunteer at a local women’s shelter.  They help other moms “shop” for essentials and toys for their family for the holidays. Its an awesome night to bond with other women, help spread some smiles, and give back to our community!

Mother’s Day Giveback Project 2017

We were back at it again this year sending 78 heart felt cards across the state to mothers who don’t get opportunities for self care or the joy of getting spoiled by their family on Mother’s Day. 

Annual Holiday Luncheon 2016

Well, we finally had to move ourselves from a restaurant to a banquet center! This year 90 of us were able to get together for an afternoon celebrating milestones, this sisterhood, each other, and dessert 🙂 This is always the BEST way to wrap up another year together!
